  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp calamansi juice (or lemon juice)

Step-by-step recipe instructions

1. Heat the Pan

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add cooking oil.

2. Fry the Tofu

Add the cubed tofu and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

3. Sauté Garlic and Onions

In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic and chopped onions until fragrant and translucent.

4. Cook the Vegetables

Add the red and green bell peppers, and green chilies. Cook until the peppers are tender-crisp.

5. Mix Tofu and Vegetables

Return the fried tofu to the pan. Mix well with the vegetables.

6. Season and Cook

Season with soy sauce, calamansi juice (or lemon juice), and liquid seasoning (if using). Stir to combine. Add mayonnaise and continue to stir until well-coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Serve hot and garnish with additional sliced green chilies and calamansi wedges if desired.
